Sopher + Co is pleased to announce the appointment of Bal Lota as Partner, joining the firm to lead our US Tax team.
 
Bal brings more than a decade of specialist experience advising US-connected entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals on the tax implications of international growth and global mobility. Dual qualified in both UK and US tax, he has built his career helping clients navigate the complexities of cross-border tax planning with clarity and confidence.
 
Prior to joining Sopher + Co, Bal held senior roles at a Big Four firm, where he advised clients across a broad range of UK and US tax matters. Most recently, he led a team of global mobility tax advisers in the Middle East, supporting internationally mobile individuals and businesses through the challenges of operating across multiple jurisdictions.
 
His appointment marks an important step in the continued growth of Sopher + Co’s US Tax offering and strengthens the firm’s ability to support private clients and internationally connected businesses across both the UK and US.
